This compact 1602 LCD display module features a pre-soldered I2C serial adapter that reduces the required microcontroller pins from 16 down to just 2 (SDA and SCL). It displays 16 characters across 2 lines with an adjustable contrast potentiometer and a removable backlight jumper.
