Internal Pin Configuration

Looking at the chip from the top with the pin 1 indicator dot/notch on the left:
  • Pin 1: Anode (Positive lead of the internal Infrared LED input)
  • Pin 2: Cathode (Negative lead of the internal Infrared LED input)
  • Pin 3: Emitter (Output terminal of the internal Phototransistor)
  • Pin 4: Collector (Input terminal of the internal Phototransistor)
